STEP1. Make sure your mobile phone is connected to Internet.
Please insert your 3G SIM card, and check the following settings before downloading the mCamView software: Notice : If you can browse any website with your mobile phone, you could go to step c directly !
1. Setup the network settings
  1. Go to "Start -> Settings -> Connections -> GPRS -> New..." to create your 3G network.
  2. Enter the name of your 3G network into the "Description:" column.
  3. Select "The Internet" item in the "Connects to:" column.
  4. Enter the access point name of your ISP in the "Access point:" column. ("internet" is only for example)
  5. Press "Done" to finish the setup of the 3G network.settings.
2. Setup the default internet connection
  1. Go to "Start -> Settings -> Connections”.
  2. Move cursor to the "GPRS" item, and click "Menu -> Advanced " to advanced setting.
  3. In the "Internet connection:" column, select the network name you have created in step a-2.
  4. Click "Done" to save and exit settings.
3. Setup the Windows Media Player.
  1. Launch Windows Media Player by selecting "Start -> Windows Media"
  2. Press "Menu" button and click "Options" item.
  3. Click "Network" item to enter the network setting window.
  4. Check the "Protocol -> UDP" checkbox if it was not checked. Then press “Done” to finish the settings.
4. Setup the Mobile Internet Explorer
  1. Launch Mobile Internet Explorer by selecting "Start ->Internet -> Internet Explorer"
  2. Press "Menu" button and select "Tools" item.
  3. Select the "Options" from the listed “Tools” items.
  4. Select the "Connections" item, and make sure the “Select network” is "The Internet".
STEP2. Download mCamView software directly from your mobile phone
Notice : If you want to use the computer to download the mCamView software, go to step 4 directly.
1. Launch Mobile Internet Explorer by selecting "Start ->Internet -> Internet Explorer"
2. Press "Menu" button and select "Address Bar" item.
3. Enter the following address in the address bar, then press "Go" to start the download. http://www.starvedia.com/3G/download/Standard/Certs.cab
4. Enter the following address in the address bar, then press "Go" to start the download. http://www.starvedia.com/3G/download/Standard/mCamViewSP.CAB
STEP3. Choose a location to download the mCamViewSP.CAB, you can download it to "Device" or to "Storage Card".
Notice : If you want to use the computer to download the mCamView software, go to step 4 directly.
1. You can press the "Yes" button to save the mCamViewSP.CAB to /My Documents, or you can do step 3-b to save to a storage card.
2. You can change the saving location to storage card by selecting "Menu -> Save As", and change the content of "Location" to "Storage Card". Then, press "Save" button.
Notice : When Step 3 is finished, go to Step 6 directly.
STEP4
As another way, you could download mCamView software to a notebook or a desktop, first download http://www.starvedia.com/3G/download/Standard/Certs.cab, and then download http://www.starvedia.com/3G/download/Standard/mCamViewSP.CAB, and transfer them to your mobile phone by USB cable or Bluetooth or Infrared.
STEP5
After transferring the Certs.cab and mCamViewSP.CAB to your mobile phone, go to the folder where you saved it, install Certs.cab first and then install mCamViewSP.CAB.
STEP6
Ignore the unknown publisher warning (if any), and press "Yes" to continue the installation.
STEP7
Choose a location to install the mCamView, you can install it on "Device" or on "Storage Card". Press "Install" button to begin the installation.
STEP8
When mCamView is successfully installed on device, press "Done" button to finish the installation. And you could start the mCamView by running “Start -> mCamView”.
